Good day yesterday, I did not ride my Fatboy at all last year.  Hopped on the CVO RG to for a 96 mile round trip to get a new battery for the Fatboy.  Installed it, fixed to bad grounds, put new tag on her.  Put air in the tires, and took her for a 45 mile ride.  She is running well.  Then hopped on the CVO for a 109 mile club ride.  Total of 250 miles on a very nice day.

Thanks, I do still like the long shots 23 years later.  It's a 95" with increased compression and a S&S 570G cam, so it barks.

After Church yesterday, my Wife asked if I wanted to go for a ride with her.  It's the second time she has been on her Road Glide since total knee replacement.  It was a perfect day, 83 and low humidity.  Stopped for a late lunch at Iron Works Grill.  Their trout is very good.  It was a nice 105 mile day.

Some buddies and I rode down to Freebornes in Laurel Springs NC yesterday. None of us had been down there in a few years and the weather here was absolutely fabulous for April. After a delicious lunch, we rode down the Parkway to RT 16 and back up across The Back of the Dragon to Tazewell, stopping at the Dragon Store for a refreshing beverage before heading back to the bunker.

Just over 207 miles on a sunny Saturday in the beautiful hills of WV, VA and NC with good friends and good food. Who could ask for more?

Rode the CVO RG to Panama City Beach Rally Sunday the 26th, 480 miles down.  Rode her home Sunday the 3rd.  Perfect weather for the ride.  Put 150 miles on my Fatboy while down there.  Rained on once in 7 days of riding.

Got back from a little side trip up Hwy 1 now open from morrow bay to Monterey.

Made a big loop up Hwy 101 but took a side trip on G16 across the mountains into Carmel, then up to the peninsula.
My new suspension got a real workout, most of the road was second gear and lots of twisties. Never been on this particular road and not keen to ever do it again.
Very narrow and no place to pull over. No center line, no shoulder, and lots of ruts!
Still not as bad as Sherman Pass! HA!

From Monterey Peninsula south on Hwy 1 looked like some sort of tourist holiday. Vehicles everywhere. VERY slow going with lots of traffic south all the way to Ragged Point.
My hotel at Sam Simeon was fine, restaurant and bar on the property and only a few customers. Looked like a ghost town compared to up north to Carmel and Monterey.

Very relaxing along the beach and mostly locals to chat with.
1180 miles from start to finish.
