Glad you got the bike replaced without complication.

Bet I can guess who the new insurance company is.

Post those pics of the delivery when you get it. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Glad things are working out and both of you are ok..  It is a sad site on the rollback wrecker.  I'm sure Saturday can't come soon enough.  Good luck!

I agree completely.  She got us home from MV on her own two wheels and she did not deserve to be treated that way.  But that is the way the salvage companies do it.  Had a friend who had same experience.  He tried to drive it up onto the bed and have the operator lower the bed.  But it just does not move fast enough and incline on slick metal is too great.  After three attempts and one drop and skinned knee he gave up.  Must have been same driver since he mentioned that he would not even let me attempt to drive it up.

I doesn't look that bad from a distance since things not totally bent and crushed like might be in collision with another vehicle.  But all paint was damaged, frame bent, tour pak demolished, lots & lots of chrome had scratches.  It really adds up quick.

I did get all I could off bike.  Only aftermarket piece left is the saddlebag guard rails and cannot not tell but left side is scratched up and right side bent so not usable.  Everything else is stock including the muffs which I re-installed on Sat.  I'm not crazy enought to let 'em have the goodies I added.

Let it not be ever said that we don't have a love for our scooters (present company included).

I tell you they are almost like a part of the family.  The driver told me that he picked up a wrecked scooter from the dealer and the guy there would not lay her over for him to drag her up.  Same here, he had to do it and I insisted very gently.  I just ain't right for sure.

Don't know how the dmv is in your state but the driver for the salvage company told me that here in Tennessee you cannot get a salvage title for a bike.  Said that a company in Mississippi buys a lot of the wrecked bikes, replaces the frame and can get a clear title down there.  Don't know if the sell them as custom bikes or as Harleys.  Makes you wonder.
