Gordon has done a really great job, IMHO. I could not have asked for a better rendition. He told me a great story about matching the paint: he says that even if they had the paint codes from the MoCo, it doesn't matter, the type and brand of paints used in South Africa are quite different to what you use in the US anyway. He said that the colours were not too difficult to match, it was just the gold glitter effect. He tells me that they get this by mixing in a special kind of "chameleon" dust which is gold/jade. He says he gets this from a Rastafarian guy who has whole lot of jars of this grit in his garage in Grassy Park (a really bad neighbourhood on the wrong side of the tracks) but none of it is labelled, and it all looks like flour. So when he goes to select his dust, he has to take some clear coat and do a lot of little trials before he gets the right one.
I will take a round of pictures tomorrow from other angles, and a few showing detail of some of the chrome that has been added while I have been away - and a couple of pics of the klicktronic gear changer for those interested.
I was disappointed that the module on all my new panacea indicators and brake lights died before I got back. So while they wait for a replacement, the old indicators have been reinstalled.
I hope these pics have whet your appetite, till tomorrow, I am off to bed!
