M&W seem to be doing ok.
You are right, have been bought out by a conglomerate who have pretty much a stranglehold on the motorcycle industry in SE Queensland. I was originally going to purchase off Gasoline Alley and was tyre kicking around the 2013 CVO, but eventually went with M&W because of the convenient location and I know them pretty well having bought various BMWs from them over the years. Most of the staff are still there and they manage the customer relationship pretty well, whereas Gasoline Alley wouldn't take a deposit about 6 months ago when I wanted to secure a 2014 bike, they tried to push me onto the brown coloured 2013 they had in stock which my wife didn't like so was never going to happen.
It's a shame that M&W were bought over. I really, really liked the place as it was. Gasoline Alley are a slick - too slick, but that's the modern way - operation. I've visited their original dealership in Red Deer in Canada, and their place in Brissie, and while it's all ultra-efficient, it just doesn't have the same family feel as M&W did. (to me at least!) Way of the world, I guess....
