I guess we will stay in Matthews for Thanksgiving.

According to the National Weather Service it's not looking good in the valley.

Heavy snow and strong winds possible over parts of the North Carolina Mountains today.

Strong northwest winds will continue to usher cold air into the North Carolina Mountains this morning. Meanwhile, Bands of snow will move across the mountains this morning. While snow will taper off in areas near the Blue Ridge later this morning, numerous to widespread snow showers will persist through the day and into the evening across the Tennessee border counties, where heavy snow accumulations are expected. Lighter snow accumulations will fall over the rest of the North Carolina Mountains. Areas of black ice may also develop where the ground is not snow covered.

Finally, the combination of strong winds and wet ground should bring down several trees resulting in power outages.

Temp is going to drop from 80 degrees which it is right now to 34 degrees

Just started thunder and lightning over the ocean. It is wicked  here right now

We are in Gulf Shores Alabama and the wind here at the beach is wicked.  Morning temp was 38 high today 52. Plenty of sun but cold.

1 C or 33 F here in Ottawa.  Got 25cm of snow last night, wet, heavy, heart attack snow.  Getting another 5cm tonight.  I stopped dreaming of a white christmas... its already here

So the heavy snow took out a lot of trees... which took out my power.  So I have my Lister diesel Generator running providing power to my home and the new neighbors.

This is my Generator.... those wheels are 250 pounds each for a smooth sine wave even with the hot tub and AC running in the summer

Hi Hogasm. I work for Shell on our Perdido Spar which is off the coast of Texas in Alaminos Canyon block 857. We crew change out of Galveston Texas but I live in Louisiana. If you ever want to come down and do some inshore fishing for Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and such look me up. I run my own inshore charter fishing business on days off from Shell.
