GoPro bike mount options

Never played with one of these cameras before.  Will be using the "GoPro Hero3 Black Edition" but not the Hero3+ should that make any difference.  What's been users' experience for various handlebar or crash bar mounts?  Both for ease of mounting, stable mounting and better looking imagery what has worked well for those that have done the deed?

I vote for the base of the windshield.

Got a Ram Mount for mine.  Mounts on the handlebars (left side) and views right next to the windshield.

I bought a mount on eBay that attaches to the fork legs.  I have also used a helmet mount.

With the fork mount there is a noticeable shake at idle and low speed.  I saw  a recommendation to try 720 instead of 1080 to see if that smooths the images.

I use this crash bar mount - anything else resulted in to much vibration...

It's not an isolation mount - when I was looking, I couldn't find a true isolation mount.

It's this guy...  http://www.chutingstar.com/skydive/gopro-swivel-flat-mount

From a quick scan of the Chutingstar website, it looks like there are new options since I was looking.

The bottom pieces come from Techmount.

Was looking at your prior image on a cell phone and it was just too small to tell.  Will do some homework at the site you linked.  Thanks.

The MountGuys.com web site has a bunch of different Ram Mounts for the GoPro's.  Have not seen the one for the engine guards on a bike with lower fairing.  I had thought the best might be an extended Ram mount off the handlebars for bike with batwing fairing.  Anyone have a picture of the windshield mount mentioned earlier?

My experience was the handlebar mount location resulted in far to much vibration to be useful....

Don...I've got a RAM mount that I used on the '06 to shoot just to the outside right edge of the windshield on my '06 SEUC with a video camera. I think it might even be for 1 1/4" bars (U-bolt with shrink tubing on it). It has the 5-6" arm and also has a quick mount plate to take the camera off when you stop and go inside somewhere.  That is...if the GoPro has the standard 1/4" -24 female tripod mount on the bottom of the case.  The U-bolt will mount practically anywhere, and I might even have a 1" version as well.  All that stuff is in a box in the garage, so I'd have to look to be sure.  Let me know...

I have never cared for the way the RAM mounts LOOK, but they are functional.

If you're interested, I can take a photo of it and send it to you.

I don't have the camera in hand yet TC.  So can't say if the camera itself has a threaded tripod mount.  In looking at accessory options have seen a part described as a tripod adapter or tripod puck.  So one way or another it'll accept a tripod screw.  So, sure, round up what you've got and let me take a look.  Thanks.
