No brainer, get rid of the wife.
The bike is less expensive to keep. The bike doesn't complain if you stay out late. The bike doesn't need a closet full of clothes and matching shoes. The bike won't bitch about you not shaving or letting your hair grow. The bike doesn't care if you look at another bike. And best of all, you can trade for another bike whenever you get the urge without going to court.

I'm thinkin he'd make a lot more renting her out rather than selling her.  Justsayinzall. :nixweiss:

I definitely "traded up" as well. My ex coerced me into selling my bike when our kids were born, in the name of "responsibly" and "safety". Like a fool, I went along, and I went many years without riding. My wife (now) bought me my Evo '95 FLHTP for my 50th birthday in 2007. I sold that sweet bike when I bought Honey Badger... but KEPT my wife... and my leather jacket! I plan on keeping all of them for life!

Never had any girl even insinuate about me getting rid of my bikes, I guess they all knew what the choice would be...

I sold my old bike and bought a dining room table for my now X wife. She still has the table.

My current wife didn't want me to buy a bike, didnt really get the whole HD thing, but after her first ride on the Deuce she's never been off of it. Plus, she insisted that I buy our 2011 CVO Street Glide while we were out shopping for a new helmet for her.

The only time she ever complains is when we are heading home from a ride.

My wife is the reason why I have the CVO Breakout, she saw the bike and said that is your next bike.

My wife is not a fan of bikes and rides with me one or two times a year for an hour or so, she would never give me that line either the bike or me because she knows what I would say, THE BIKE !!!!!!!!!!!!

Fortunately I have the best of both worlds - A beautiful wife and bike!

She took up riding her own a number of years ago, and just can't get enough!

Although, she does tire on occasion...

My wife turned 59 years old yesterday and has been on her Dad's Harley's since she can remember.  When I was dating her I didn't have any transportation so my future father in law said you are going to get a bike soon I hope.  He helped me pick up a 350cc Honda and then my first new Sportster in 1972 which I drove almost year round since I didn't have a car.  When the 72 was in for numerous repairs he lent me his 68 Burgundy Dresser to get around.  Wife loves riding as much as I do, she tried it on her own but after a few close calls she is quite content as a BSR.   My wife is very quiet, shy and kind of introverted so who would believe she digs Burnouts, wheelies from tel. pole to tel. pole and often going way to fast.  I think it's a form of therapy for her.  I have calmed down quite a bit the last year and she's OK with that.  She did tell me when I can't handle a two wheeled machine forget about a trike and go just get a nice convertible because it just won't be the same.  I'm a real lucky guy.   She did say I can get another bike when I wanted but since I'm retired and she works and she is well aware of every penny that went into all the maintenance, improvements and repair work to get to 70,000 miles.   She just smiled and said no more excessively loud, & slow bikes that seem like she is riding a furnace.  In the fall we talked about new bikes again so I arranged a long test ride on a Concours.  I forgot just how fast those in-line 4's are, we had a blast but she wasn't very comfortable on the bike and said maybe we should do a test ride on the 6 cylinder BMW.  Yes Deer!
