Remember to try and shoot them in the head. Nothing worse than a wounded mad hog!!
Behind the ear works perfect every time.

Or, when all else fails, use the ultimate RPG:

Up here in West "BY GOD" Virginia, the MEN Hog Hunt with a 29 or 629 Smith, or a Colt Anaconda, 2-3 Speed loaders, and a Arkansas Toothpick.  We don't shoot 'em 'till we see the fire in their eyes, which is about 10-12 feet away.  'Course, we're standin' on a stump when we bust a cap between their evil eyes.  That was years ago when I was a younger Man.  Ain't got the heart, or the time, to hunt them now.  Later--HUBBARD

Here's one that's about 180 lbs.
They run about 150 to 250.

Leaning toward the 300 Weatherby Mag.

If we use the dogs then I will use the Super Redhawk 7" in 44.
That would be a 10 to 15' shot like Hubbard likes!
If I take Hubbard all I have to do is run faster than him if something goes wrong! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

That hog looks like he still has something on his mind.

Can't go wrong with the Weatherby 300.

We do have some hunters here, don't we [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
