Wild ones 575's
« Reply #30 on: January 08, 2014, 10:23:44 PM »

Just so we're clear....The 575s don't require changing the brake line or the clutch line?  Just making sure, as I had to change both when I put them on my FLHTK.
Did not on my 2013 cuse7. Oops. That should be 2012 cuse7.

No cable changes were needed  on my 2013 CUSE8 for the 575's.

05Train,  FLHTK do not have a hydraulic clutch. If you CVO is a 2013 you will have no problem with your lines!

CVO's a 2012.  The FLHTK didn't have a hydraulic clutch; I'm just surprised the hydraulic line is longer than the cable.  There was also no way the stock brake line would have worked with the 575s (on the Limited).

Trust me, I'd be ecstatic not to have to change the two lines this time around.

Installed 578's on my 2011 CVO Ultra Classic with no problem. 575's should be shorter. Might have to rearrange the angle on the banjo bolt on the brake line.

Update bars are on, what riding I could do these 575's are a lot better. Not that bad of job just took my time and lots of pics and diagrams on the wiring. Plus the larger bars just look better as a bonus.

Changed to a 575 bar on my 2010 and all I had to do war re rout the clutch line. Needed to bleed the line afterwards. Best bars ever.

Just put WO575's on my bike, took some time, but was not a bad job at all. did not need to do anything to wiring or
to the hydraulic lines, hydraulic lines fit good and are not tight. did not have to reroute anything but 1 connector. Went for a ride and these bars are very comfortable, the hand position is perfect for me. Seems like I have more leverage picking up the
bike from the stand also. one of the best thing I've done to this bike.

with all the positive feedback on these bars I believe I will be installing a set myself. Heated hand grips may be in order as well...

I've been sitting on a set of 575's for a while now...  just dragging my feet due to high cost HD charges at the shop to install them.  I've got a friend locally that said he'll give me a hand which is better 'cause I want to learn how to do the mechanical install of the switch housings and the other challenging bits...

Question though... I'd heard that the WO bars would need to have a small section of the ends of the bars grinded down to avoid a gap between the grips and the switch housing...  is that true..?  If so, would someone please share the details..?  I'd like to be prepared once I have the bike on the lift.

Thanks.!

Hey Matt.   I had 575s on my Seeg.   On the clutch side I had to cut off about 1/4" . I did it with a hack saw.  Took a minute and it was so easy.  The grip then slid all the way up.   Stuart.
