Try this mount found on ebay, I mounted it on top of my windshield trim though.  Works great and if you have a LCD screen for your GoPro you can see it perfect.

Terrible! I used one on a trip to Alaska last year. The video was all but unbearable to watch.

Apple's iMovie and Google's youtube can remove most if not all of the vibration from the video, making it much more watchable. There could be some funny side effects, though. Very similar to the 'pliable front forks' in this video posted by mpowered, which I suspect was caused by youtube's vibration removal feature:



BTW, empowered, great videos, especially the first one with the great indie music by Steve Dunn.

I have the GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition I got for Christmas. Just starting to play with it. I made 2 vids, one with a clamp attached to the crash bar and the other on the helmet. The helmet is definitely better for complete field of vision.

I really liked the first video.  Thanks for sharing.

 have a Hero 3 black edition, and had not used it until I took leave in December. I bought two Sandisc 64GB microSD cards, and after doing a short test with each one, used them to shoot video with my wife and daughter paragliding (a one off experience for them) and immediately afterwards, some amazing coastal rides (Chapman's Peak etc).
On the last of these rides we came across a motorcycle accident, and the footage might have helped, so I rushed to view it, only to find that both the cards came up with "the disc needs to be formatted before you can use it". No amount of coaxing, whether in the camera or a card reader, would let me in. I finally accepted that I would have to write off the footage, and formatted the cards, using the GoPro function to do it. Bummer: both cards were still unreadable, and showing the error. I did some diligence on the web, and found that a number of cards, especially the large Sandisc, have a high failure rate.

Moral of the story: don't buy Sandisc, and start off with smaller cards (eg 4GB) and upload your footage often, until you are comfortable with it.

I have used a Go pro 2 on both the helmet and bike mounted. Best location for reducing vibration is the helmet, and I have found the side mount works better for me as the camera is in still air, whereas I get some buffetting with the top mount.

Lately I have tended to use the Go pro more for stills. One thing to be mindfull of is the work required to edit hours of footage gained on a trip down to a short sharp video that is interesting for others to watch, 5 minutes is about enough I reckon.

Here is a still i took on my Beemer, one bike in front, and another in the mirrors.

Mate, the road is what's known as Thunderbolts Way in NSW. It is about 150km between towns and is a mixture of high speed straights and sweepers and this (pic) tight section which goes for about 50km switching back and forth along the Manning River. Only explanation for the double lines is setting up for a tight left hander, no traffic to speak of and clear vision out of the corner.

This is seriously a great road and leads up to the Oxley Highway which is legendary over here.

I think that they ride on the "wrong" side of the road down there in Australia.

GoPro 3 Black. Great video while mounted on my handlebars.
Use RAM mounts (www.rammount.com/), only way to go. Use for my GPS as well.
Also set my camera to record at 1080, 48 frames per second. This helps smooth out the vibrations.

Lew, that suction cup is for real! IMHO the most substantial of the mounts. It's not going anywhere.

Suction cup mount is great. I have attached it to the outside of the helicopter and flewn for hours with the camera staying on. heli's are slow so top speed was probably around 90kt's.

I have a 2 and 3 and really like both. Only issue is the short battery life.
