Prepare to swear if you buy this accessory

Bought a bunch of stuff for my new ride (2014 SG Special).  One of those items happened to be the Air Wing Sissy Bar and a back pad so my wife could ride with me on occasion and not feel like she was gonna slide off the back end.

Problem came up when I decided it would be cool and add a level of safety by opting for the built in light accessory that can go with the sissy bar.

Now I understand that some of you that have purchased different handlebars......mini apes or other after market ones that require stuffing wires thru those new bars and that it can be a hassle.  Not having personally done that,  I'm gonna say the inside diameter of whatever bars you choose to replace with,  allow for more room than the down tube on this sissy bar that requires three wires encased in a shrink tube sleeve.

It took me over two hours of repeated attempts to get this wire set down thru the damn sissybar tube.  The (fishwire) deal they sent with the light didn't work out for me.  I ended up using 40 pound test fishing line that I got thru the tube by using a length of lawn trimmer "string" as a starter.

First I tried Vaseline (petroleum jelly),  that didn't quite get it,  was finally able to use just soapy water and the fishing line and gloves pulling on the fishing line with pliers..............I finally got it.

Haven't wired it up yet,  but if anyone gets one of these items for the sissybar (it is also the same light if you want to have a light on the rear of your "Airwing" luggage rack)...........which would be much easier............................Lots of luck with your adventure. :drink:
