I have used MightyMat(TechMat) and SilcoSoft for Fullsac baffle wrap.  SilcoSoft has been the longest lasting.  Here is a link to the dealer in North Carolina that supplies both.

I just finished reading the old thread on the 1.75 baffles and am thinking I did mine incorrectly. I wrapped the insulation/baffle material around the baffle and used the wire mesh to hold it together while I slid the baffle and all into the housing.

Was I supposed to wrap the insulation around the outside of the wire mesh that I bought from Fullsac?

Yes.

The mesh is there to hold the insulation to the outside of the muffler body to create an air space between the baffle and the insulation.

OK well I guess I have a project for this afternoon but not sure how those pieces are going to work on the outside of the wire mesh! Guess I should order some of this baffle material.

What will it hurt if I leave it where it is?

Shouldn't hurt anything, just make it quieter. The mesh has some spring to it so what I did was roll the mesh inside of itself where it meets a little then wrap just enough insulation to make over one full wrap. I held it together and once slid into the muffler body it sprang back open holding the insulation to the outside of the muffler leaving plenty of room to slide the baffle in. You may have to adjust the tension on the mesh by opening the curve up a little to make it stay against the outside of the pipe like I did.

It was 38 deg. and sunny here on the north coast of Ohio this morning and the roads were mostly dry so I put on my Carhartts and FINALLY got to ride a little to test out my Fullsac set up and WOW!! was it worth the wait. I'm not really interested in dyno numbers, I was mainly looking for cooler engine temps but I gotta say my "assomometer" was pegged after riding it...Very pleased with the performance...  I went with the DX pipe, 2" baffles and TTS tuner...I put the packing back in the mufflers, I don't like the "hollow" sound you get without it...I had a little trouble getting the head pipe lined up on the rear cyl but other than that things went pretty smooth.

Any Chicagoland dealers install Fullsac system? First dealer I went to had no knowledge of the brand. Second one told me it would void my 7 year warranty. Recommended de-catted headers with V&H.
I also need them to tune the bike. I am not a fan of preset downloads.

Anything you do, including decatted header and aftermarket mufflers could void your warranty. I would ask them to put it in writing that having them modify your exhaust and tune the bike won't affect your warranty. I will bet they won't. Fulsac's system is an easy do it yourself install. If you are not up to it have a buddy help. If he is a good buddy it may only cost you a dinner or some beers. As far as the tune, he sends that to you in a file to load through the TTS tuner. It is not a canned tune but one developed on a dyno to work with the exhaust and baffles. I have already installed the baffles and am doing the pipe and tune this weekend. I am keeping the stock parts and if something happens where the warranty is needed the stock parts can be reinstalled before taking it back to the dealer.

How can one brand of de-catting void the warranty but another brand does not? Seems like another instance of a dealer blowing smoke!
