This is almost comical...  Starting a about 5:00 am, it was snowing huge flakes.  About 2" accumulated.  Then it rained enough that the snow became about 1 1/2" deep slush.  Then it froze, so the roads, driveways, sidewalks are thick glare ice.  Now there is a downpour taking place.  Thunder and lightening.  Raining so hard I can hardly see across the backyard to my little shop.  Of course, there's about 2 feet of snow everywhere, even more where drifting has taken place.  My driveway is lined with about 5 feet of piled snow from shoveling this winter.  Flooding will be rampant, I am sure.  Fortunately we live at a high elevation for our area, and it all runs downhill away from us.  The forecast is it will soon turn back to snow, then freeze.  The roads will be extra special tomorrow!   :2vrolijk_21:

So I went for a quick ride today as planned and my wife and daughter followed in the car. We ended up at Johnny Rockets for lunch (sorry - no DD). Here's a pic as promised. My daughter was the photog.

It's going to be below freezing with snow back on the menu for this Wednesday. So this may be it riding-wise for at least a couple weeks.

Here in Minnesota we got dumped on. I think we got around 12 inches. So I don't think I will be riding any time soon.

This is the time of year when we have to take advantage of any chance we get to ride.
Looks great. A short ride is still better than no ride. Many only get to look at their bike in the garage and wish.

Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, that's my dad's place an hour + away.  Great dry and warm place to keep the bikes for the winter, but not so easy to peek in on 'em.  :-\

Should be on the downhill side, now.  Although there are a few more single-digit low temp days in the forecast for next week. :o

Chip, as you said I'm ok with a short ride this time of year and, frankly if I could have talked any of my riding buddies to come along, I could have been riding for hours. I'm thinking tomorrow I'll ride my buddy's 'blue' CVORK (same as 2k's new 'old' bike) so it gets some exercise also. ;)  :bananarock:

I have a suggestion.
You, your dad, the families, those fine cars and those beautiful bikes move to Tenn. or NC.
The weather is better, the roads are great and life is good.
Just a thought!

Hey, Arland!  We both are.  Dad always was a Mopar guy and then we restored those two Road Runner's together and that did it for me, too, then. :)  Had a 440 6-bbl Superbird and a '67 Hemi GTX along the way, as well.  I've got a 300C SRT8 for a daily driver and momma drives a Jeep Grand Cherokee.  Rumble Bee and SRT-10 pickups have come and gone.  Just added a 2006 Viper coupe to the stable.  Mopars rule! :2vrolijk_21:

I'd like to see that 'Cuda sometime!
