Have not tried it yet but plan on tomorrow.

I got the update done on Sat. By dealer, noticed some things mentioned above worked but also noticed the popping and cracking is much quieter but still some there.... Maybe next time.

Infotainment new update version 1.17.4 not correct on HD website

This morning, 2-5-14, I downloaded and updated my Infotainment with the new version 1.17.4 software and noticed no change with anything. My phone ringtone still wouldn't ring loud enough too me heard with helmet on. I called Harley customer service this morning peeved. After talking to the gentleman at HD, he advised they had a problem with the upload of the new version. Even though you download what you thought was the new version, in fact it's the present version. He said they are working on it and hopes in the next 24 hours to have the correct update on the website. I am going to wait a couple of days and download again and install. Hopefully this works.

Wish  the update addressed  the speaker problem when not all the speakers come on. And have to go to fade menu & go either back or front & then they all come on...

Well I don't understand this. I see that Harley posted a new update version 1.17.4 so I downloaded and installed it. After inserting the jump drive and updating it states on the radio that the version now on the system is still 1.17.1.1 I must have done something wrong or Harley did, can't imagine that. Has anyone tried this update? It would appear that they made an error all the updates for 4.3 standard, 6.5 GT premium and 6.5 premium CVO are the same number I don't think they were before today.

I talked to a guy with HD customer support this morning, he advised me that even though the update on the website says 1.17.4 it is not actually it. They are having a problem and hope to have it corrected in 24 hours. He said if you do a update now you are not actually installing the new version. It is still version 1.17.1

I called HD Customer care yesterday as well and reported the problem. They basically told me the same thing. I downloaded the 1.17.4 update again this morning and as of 850AM EST it is still the old version, 1.17.1.

Just downloaded the 1.17.4 update and it is the correct version now. Update installed with no problems.

From what I can tell so far is the motorcycle icon issue and the fader issue appear to be resolved.

I think they mentioned the fader issue in the list of improvements for that update.  "Fix to correct fade setting on externally amplified systems"
