Screamin eagle 32109-08A. Tunner
« on: February 09, 2014, 08:05:46 PM »

Just picked up my 2010 CVO Street glide from my dad. What a great bike I'm in love.  Pop is getting a new bike. Going thur some of the stuff that came with the bike and found the tuner that I guess the bike was sold new with. 32109-08A. Looks as if the dealer or someone has used it. Download code was written on box 009CAH002 along with the last 4 of vin. My dad is the leave it as it came kind of guy. I've been a tech for ford for twenty years and am more " adventurous" as far as changing things with are bikes. I was wondering if there where any new up dates or better tunes that could be installed into the bike. I think I'm missing a softwear disc. All I have is the black module no cables, instructions or softwear disc. My question is do I need a disc or is softwear in the module? If a disc came with the tunner my dad may have lost it if so is the module trash or can I get new softwear?? Thanks for your time also trying to pull off the Carmel trip sounds like a great time with some breath taking rides hope to make it.

Download the software here

http://prosupertuner.harley-davidson.com/SuperTuner.aspx

Go to the dealer and buy a set of cables (there are two).

Have at it!

The black box you have is the VCI, or Vehicle Communication Interface.  That part is "married" to your bike's ECM and can only be used on your bike.  The software can be downloaded or purchased on disk, and you can buy the cables from the dealer or a shop that sells cables.  Harley has canned maps on their disk if that's the way you want to go, but you may want to look into the idea of having the bike tuned by a good professional tuner instead.  Make any mods you might be thinking about first.

If you take it to a good professional tuner that has an up to date dyno (not a dealer) then the tuner pro will already have the cables. A good tuner will do a base line pull and will tell whether your bike is optimized or not. Be sure the tuner know everything that has been changed or added to the bike. If bike is not performing at optimum levels, have the tuner do his thang, pay the man and then ride off into the sunset. The money you save by not buying cables goes to the tuning pro and will be well spent. FYI, you will not be able to do much if any self tuning with the HD race tuner unless you are very very knowledgeable about the system and Harleys and already own a lot of expensive tuning equipment designed for motorcycles.

You can also pull up the last file that was downloaded into the bikes ECM and see if it was just a downloaded cal or an actually tuned cal for that bike.
