Breather (not A/C) Question???
« on: February 12, 2014, 07:32:12 PM »

Is there anything to be done to the (crank case) breather set-up in the 110 heads on my 113 build http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=91650.0) that would minimize the oil blowing into the air filter / intake area??

I know some run 3.5 quarts in stead of 4, but don't really want to go that route.

A good friend of mine w/ 113 Skunk, tried to explain to me that his (worked) Hurricane Heads vented internally somehow, instead of the intake. I was very interested, but really couldn't understand how it was done?

What are you guys w/ built motors doing with the breathers?

Thanks,

There are ways of modifying pretty much any air cleaner backing plate to vent the heads either to the ground or into a puke tank.

Involves usually a little drilling and tapping and some hose but nothing that cannot be done in a drill press.

I would post a link to another forum but im not sure what of many threads on the subject I should direct you to
