Mine came with a red lens and looks like every other non-CVO.  Was at dealership today and they have another bike on the floor and the tail light lens is smoke colored and appears to have LED bulbs in it.  I'm just wondering if someone changed mine or if MoCo puts what ever is on the shelf that day on the CVO's???

Mi bike the the one at the dealer have the same smoke colored turn signal lenses...

This is the tail light you should have.
This is standard on the 2014 CVO Limited's.
I like it so much I bought one and put it on my 2011.5 SEUC.

Don't make the mistake of accusing someone at the dealership of "borrowing" the correct taillight and creating an enemy who might be in a position to screw you over in the future.  It would be more likely that the assembly plant installed the wrong one.  Harley doesn't have effective Quality Control, so if the guy installing taillights put the wrong one on there's a very good chance it would get shipped out the door that way.

a plain red taillight on a cvo is for international bikes seen one at the 110 th  some had a diffrent licence bracket tell your dealer to change it

I think you are correct as sad as it is. HD has miles to go as far as process control.

Personally I would not accuse anyone but start questioning the dealer and go from there. It's their problem to find an answer to.

Headed to dealership in a few min to pick up bike. Dropped it off yesterday for the 1k service.
No intention of accusing them of any wrong doing, they have always treated me well, and there are a few there I consider friends one is also a brother mason, just going to see what they think of the issue....

Glad it worked out.
Some dealers wouldn't be as accommodating.
You must have a good one.
One of the great things about CVOHarley is you can get facts here before you go to the dealer.

also check your speedo and tach make sure it has mph not km and front fender should not have fender light
