B + connector
« on: February 26, 2014, 12:12:18 PM »

Not sure if this question is in the right section, but he goes, I am looking at wards works fans and he has a way to hook them up to the B+ connector instead of on the battery post.  Where is the B+ connector and is it switched. 2011 FLTRUSE   Thanks for any help

The B+ connector is a single terminal grey connector with a single red wire, and it is always hot.  It should be located near the battery tray, you will likely need to remove the side covers and seat and just search because the locations have varied on the bikes I've checked over the years.

If you buy the matching connector from your dealer you can make a nice neat installation to provide power to the fans, much better than using a ring terminal at the battery post.  You will need to either install a switch to operate the fans, or better yet a thermostat to do it automatically, and an inline fuse would be a good idea.  The fan company can give you all the details.
