If it isn't raining you getting snow, guess you probably don't want to hear about the weather here today then...... Aww, what they hay... It was in the high 60's and may have even made it to 70. However to make you feel better I didn't get out and ride today. :( :'( [highlight]Maybe tomorrow [/highlight]afternoon it's supposed to be same temps again. [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

No kidding, but here's the deal.  Mt Baker near my dealership and a great ride by the way, has over 100" at the base already and is the highest total snow fall in the US for the year.

Bottom line, how do you think we keep it so green so you can all come out here and enjoy the scenary this summer [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Now watch me jinx myself.  I guess I'm the odd man out.  I've never had a dead battery, or needed a battery charger.  Now......let me qualify that statement.  When I was deployed, or stationed overseas on unaccompanied tour(s), the week before I came home my OL had the local stealer pick up my scoot(s) and service them......which has included a new battery.  Other than that, I ride year round, never going longer than a month without riding.  Not sure why I've been so fortunate, but I'm thankful for it.

Just curious... How long has a battery lasted you if you constantly ride it w/o being deployed?

The replacement battery in my 02 Ultra was in service for 2 years 5 months and still cranking when I traded.

That's not bad at all. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] I'm hoping to double/triple that by using the Battery Tender.

And I predict you will, but I gotta know...........having been to your neck of the woods (well, actually just south...Richmond, Hampton Roads area), do you ride year round?  You da MAN, if you do.  Anyway, if you do ride year round, and since your battery charges when riding.......why use a BT?

Don't ride year round, usually during December - February/March I find a couple days during the months to ride. I don't ride daily however and feel with the draw on the battery of all the electronics I would rather have my battery fully charged at all times versus just having it charged when I'm riding it. If the battery life is doubled/tripled from using it then it will have paid for itself. Once the initial quick connect is attached it's a painless process to just plug it in when I park the bike.

Mike,

Did you use a regular charger, or just the Battery Tender?

So how does that old saying go, "when life throws you lemons, make lemonade."

Got the dock light display set up in the snow (actually Cindy did).

Merry Christmas everyone. [smiley=santa.gif] [smiley=santa2.gif] [smiley=santa3.gif]
