Word of caution here.... Shop did a Dyno before the flash and then Dyno after the flash. Word is that the Torque and HP went slightly south! Just something I've been told by I believe a very good source. At least has been a very good source in the past.

Got my recall today. I will check with the dealer while my bike awaits its body parts. Should I need this since I have the Bassanis, AC, SERT and VH Ovals?

I am taking a wait and see approach to this recall. Is H-D taking away some of the low end torque? I want to wait and hear the results from other CVO owners. [smiley=soapbox.gif]

Isn't this subject moot if ECM mods were done? Is there really anyone here with stock, uncorrected ECM's?

My Bke has 1,500 miles and is stock. That is why I want to  hear more results of the upgrade before I proceed.

It's not a recall. A dealer legally cannot sell a vehicle that has an open recall on it because it's normally a safety issue. This 'program' will never prevent a bike from being sold, and you do not have to have it done.
It's not a recall. It is an improved stock calibration. Stock calibrations have had improvements done to them since calibrations began, and dealers have always been advised to install the 'latest' stock cals in bikes whenever they see an earlier version in one.

If your bike has a SERT, the 'stock' calibration is no more, so the point is moot. But it's still not a recall.

Peace! (and happy holidays)

I'm really leaning towards getting the SERT or T-Max soon anyway once I feel warm and fuzzy about the one I choose. The reflash should be all moot once one of these boys are installed and loaded. As mentioned in my prior post, a dealer ran the dyno and found the the numbers went down on the torque and hp. By how much, I don't know.

All I want to do is to get the back jug cooled down so that this engine will last. Not expecting to change out muffs or a/cleaner. I don't race so I don't need the extra HP or torque. My goal is to get some serious miles on the bike and wear the damn thing out. Gotta get every dime of my $36k out of that scooter.(gave up on new truck to get this bike) Anyway, that's my two cents worth.

Hi UG,

If you wanna wear it out, wait for the TMAX & Auto Tune. If you can't wait till the new release, get the SERT too, and then find yourself a good dyno guy. MOCO will not let the techs mess with it unless they have a Dyno. (The problem still being finding someone who gives a S%$#).

What evva...
