2013 CVO, 625 T Man, 58 TB build!
« on: March 13, 2014, 02:14:41 PM »

Impatiently waiting for the UPS truck to show up with the cylinder heads from the porter. Anxious to get this one buttoned up and in the dyno room! Should be a runner.

2013 CVO.
625 TMan cams, 58 SE TB, Jim Andrews Heads, DX Pipe, 2.25 cores. TTS

Tried out a VP SRD Clutch Lock up on this one. Pretty trick part.

Dyno chart to follow.

Here's the dyno chart from the 2013 CVO RK. 121 HP and TQ. About as square as you can get.
This was a very simple 10-1 compression build that was accomplished with stock pistons, stock pushrods,
cam plate and oil pump. Stock CVO Valve spring pressures are higher than needed even with 625 lift.
Tman beehive spring kit was used to reduce seat pressure. This combined with our Delco lifters is proving to be
as quiet if not even quieter than stock even with 625 lift.

Aftermarket parts:
Fullsac DX Pipe
Fullsac 2.25 CVO power cores
SE 58 Throttle body with 5.3 injectors
SE Heavy Breather AC.
TMan 625 cams and beehive spring kit.
Fullsac/Delco lifters
Stock heads ported flowed and decked by Andrews Racing Engines.
Cometic .030 head gaskets

Special Thanks to Chris Mayeda for riding with a Fullsac!

'Really like the curves of the 625s!

'Still going with the 625s in my 113 117 build...

I'll be giving you a call about your 2.25 CVO cores, if the RSD Tracker Slip-ons, don't play well with my combination...

A really nice Build, with great curves / #s !!! :2vrolijk_21:

For only having 10-1 comp the shape of the curve was decent. I'm definitely a 625 fan now.
The 4.060 113 piston kit would have bumped the comp to about 10.5 and really picked up the midrange TQ and rounded the top of the curve out. Kinda kicking myself for not doing it now, the check was blank and it falls inline with my "keep it stupid simple" build theme.

Nice build Steve.  The TR 625 works nice.  Can ride that one anywhere without issue.

Thanks! I spent about an hour riding it yesterday. Very responsive at lower engine speeds. Slightest bit of clutch puts it completely sideways in first gear. Honestly feels faster than the last 120R I did, but the RK is about 75 pounds lighter than a full Dresser. Customer is not picking it up until Friday. I'm going to work on that little flat spot at 3300. After reviewing the data files I had a little timing getting pulled there in the rear cylinder so I think there is a little TQ left to be had. Still can't believe how quiet the valve train is. I really think the lighter Beehives played a big part.

Don't the 625's require correcting the geometry?

I guess that the ECM is pulling the timing? Please let us know how you adjust for that.

Depends on how you define "correct"

If you set the valve stem protrusion at about 2.025 you should be good....depending on the spring
