Trouble with Truck lite phase 7
« on: March 14, 2014, 11:58:25 AM »

My 2012 is acting up with my head light after 4 months the head light will go to bright on dim.  You can go to bright and back to dim and some times it will dim and then go back bright on dim and then will stay bright when you go to dim.  I put the original light back on and it works fine.  Even had dealer look at it last week when i was getting service done and they dont understand it.  The light works fine on a test bench.  I also run the same set up on my 03 RK Classic and they work perfect.  Both bikes are 100% LED!!  Any help would be great!! :-\

Mitch, call Kuryakyn customer service:
Phone:   715.247.2184
Toll Free:   866.277.9598
Fax:   715.247.5007
Technical Support:   715.247.2983

The phase 7/truck light has a 3 year factory warranty on the headlight/passing lamps.  If you have only had it for 4 months, you still got plenty of warranty.  If it were me, I'd call, tell 'em what's going and get a new one sent out post-haste.  I've had mine since first of August last year with no issues and from what you describe, it's got to be the light electronics.  The warranty was one of the selling points of this light for me.  Plus, it's one heck of a headlight.

Good luck

Since you have another in your '03, it would be a fairly quick swap to know for sure it was the light, but it seems to me that is all it could be if the stock light acts fine.
