I was thinking the same thing.   

Maybe they are worried if they move they may leave a big brown spot in their nice white clothing as things tend to loosen up when you move if you know what I mean.  Better to be found dead with clean clothing I guess.  Also, think of the embarrassment the poor guys who live would have to endure until the could get home to change their cloths.
