Something to know. The 07 SECU don't come with a sensor setting. I check the manual and did not see anything to adjust it.

Anyone know something about changing the sensor?

I know I had it on my 06 SE FatBoy but cant remember how to make the adjustments.

The 06 SEUC manual states for setting alarm sensitivity:

step 1 - turn IGN key on - off - on - off - on

step 2 - press left turn switch 2 times and release.

Hazer_52,

Looks like I can't make the change now that the key fob does not have a button any more on my 07 SEUC.

Thanks for the info

So now that everyone's got a new stress point. Lets hear from folks on solutions. I proposed mine, what've the rest of you got ?

Couple of quick ideas; the first could be done fairly easily to an existing bike, the second would require a redesign.

1.  Weld a boxed-in section to the mounting bracket where the wire form is, to prevent the simple "pry it loose".

2.  Change the design to have the stud welded to the bracket - slip the bag over the stud, secure  with a knob containing the quick release wire form (inside the bag).

QRC,

OK I am a little slow here but why work on the section where the simple screw off section is?

The area to focus is the top part that closes on to the body of the bike to complete the close section on the saddle bag?

Dave,

Just offered a quick and easy to slow down the screwdriver prying of the wire form - if someone wants them bad enough they could probably find a way to get a ratcheting box wrench in there and unscrew the bracket itself.
