I've had two CVOs.  Paid under MSRP towards the end of the 03 production year and paid MSRP when the 10's came out.  There are too many MSRP dealers to pay more. 

And can someone please tell me how a dealer can charge 1.5k to 2k for dealer prep and still look at you with a straight face?

I have owned three CVO's two still in the garage, have not paid over MSRP yet.  Will be getting a 2015 CVO RG Ultra, and will not be paying over MSRP.  Dealer will be getting the 12 CVO RG in trade.

Dave, you may not pay over MSRP.  But its what they are going to allow you for your 2012...

Not sure about Dave's allowance for his '12 but I was offered 30k for mine on trade. Granted I've done some work to it but I'll still get to keep (swap) the wheels and banana boards as part of the deal. Price is MSRP no freight or set up and MSRP/tax/title/tags

That's indeed a low ball. I think my dealer wants my bike for himself though. Every time I'm in there he's trying to talk me out of it.

Nah, thanks though. I thought the value of the only other year a CVO RG Ultra was made would hold better than that. I've been reading the stories about low trade in value but was thinking I had a better relationship with this dealer. It's 100 mikes away and I've purchased 4 bikes from them in 7 years, 3 of them CVO's.

Private sale should bring 28k for it in a fairly quick sale. A little more if you want to hold out a little longer.

I will know Wednesday but I bet it's mid 20's.  And mine has 46k on it.  Did real well on my 09 trade for the 12 with similar miles.

I was offered $19 at one local dealer, $21 from another add the tax benefit on this offer and its roughly$23. 2011 CVO SG, 8800 miles, GPS, chrome agitators, and a few other add ons, bike is perfect. NFG.

Must be the water they are drinking, my local dealer which I purchased 4 bikes in the past 11 years offered 20,500 trade in on my 2011 with 29,000mi, said new NADA rate off set by high miles, they did comment that the bike was in excellent condition - whip de do!. So their offer was my bike @ 20,500.00 + 19,000.00 for a 2015 CVO RG Ultra, I said no thanks.

We have 5 dealers within driving distance (35 miles or less) and the one I checked with was 70 miles away, primarily because there was an Indian dealership close to them so I was in the neighborhood, so to speak. They had the worst deal in my experience, MSRP + $2k.

A buddy of mine just bought an SG Special from Whitt's HD in Manassas less than a month ago and got a great deal and more than he expected for his fatboy, which he traded in. So they are more than likely going to get my business also. The only way to fix this problem is to not buy from dealers that treat their customers like what was mentioned above (4 bikes in 7 years, 3 CVO). Maybe it is easier said than done for most because of the distances involved. Fortunately I have options.
