Not a lot I can add but really sorry to hear about it.

Me to.....really sorry to hear it.  :nervous:

Are you going to keep (and maintain) it for him?  An alternative....sell it and put the $$ in a CD or some other investment.  Then when he gets out he can buy something a little newer. :2vrolijk_21:

Good advice from all, JCZ gave me the best idea, can't kick a man when he's down. The scoot looks like it hasn't seen water, except for rain, in 2 years. Gonna take awhile to clean up, riding season is here, but thats one thing he has.....time. KBB only gives one price I can find on scooters, from a dealer & excellant condition, $16,900. In this condition this bike wouldn't bring $6900. We shall see.

The obvious things are the Baker, oil spout and fender extension. What else was done?
Ought to be quite the cultural shock jumping between the two.

Haven't looked it over real good Duane, he had owned the scoot for about seven yrs. Lived in Fl most of the time, came to SC about 2 yrs ago. I guess he wishes he had stayed in Fl. One thing I am pretty sure of (& a little worried about)is lots of the stuff came from Midnite Scooter Parts.

Been pondering a bit on this one, Jimmy.  First off, sorry about your nephew.  I don't know what it feels like to have a family member behind bars and would not presume to think or speak to what you are going through.  I'm not equiped to make any kind of comment on that other than prayers to you and your family, brother.

As for the bike and I was put in your situation, I would clean it up, maintain it, ride it and have it ready for him when he does get out.  It may be that small jesture that helps him maintain some sort of purpose/goal so that when his time is completed or he is out on paroll, his uncle has kept his bike for him.

We never really know what we would do in any given situation until that time presents itself so trust in the Lord, lay it at His feet, pray about it and let Him guide your path, Jimmy.

Sorry to hear about the nephew. I've got a son who won't listen to me or anyone of authority. I've warned him for a while that you stay on the path you're on and it will only lead to one place.
On the bike, I vote for an investment. The bike will only diminish in value.

You might want to get the bike in good order, ride it a little and ask him in a year or two what he would rather you do with the bike. When he gets "settled in" send him some pics of the bike.

Might not be as hard to clean up as I thought. After a little soap & water, no rubbing. B4

Never used Harley electronics, looks like a docking station for something. Can anyone tell me?

Looks like the docking station for the GPS?  Mic and antenna could be bluetooth (mic) and XM/Sirius?  I'm with you on the electronics, Jimmy.  Just remember seeing these items on other bikes and that's what they were for....

The dock is for the HD Passport Radar Detector.  The Dock is hard to find!

The antenna looks like a Sirius or XM unit.

Not sure on the mic, but another thought is that it could be for a radar detector?
