I've had a leather C&C Squareback on the Night Train for about 6 years. It's a great-looking seat that is surprisingly comfortable over the long haul (I've ridden that bike from Maryland to Maine, and down to Kentucky). It looks as good now as the day I bought it. That said, I'd never buy another one.
I ordered one of their big, cushy touring seats for my FLHTK. Got it quickly, then fought with it for about an hour trying to get it on the bike. Turns out they'd sent me a Street Glide seat rather than an Ultra seat, as the underside of the seat wasn't relieved for the saddlebag guards. Not a big deal once I figured it out. I sent Chuck at C&C a couple of pictures and gave him a call. His initial "advice" was that I wasn't installing the seat right (please....). After sending him more pictures with the seat jacked up at the bag guards and the tail of the seat 3" off the fender, his response was....."well everyone takes those ugly bag guards off." That's great I said, but I'm not. I just want the seat that I ordered for the bike I own. He hung up on me. I called him back to see if he was going to take the thing back or if I was stuck with his mistake. He hung up on me again.
It took a couple of weeks, but I got the RMA taken care of and my money back. It's a shame Chuck couldn't just look at the pictures, see that it was a simple mistake, and correct it.
So after that I went with a Corbin and I've never looked back. It's not as good-looking of a seat, but I've had no issues with 18-hour days on one.
