Mike, you might want to change my status. Everything is good now except the gas tank which is still on order after having rejected the last one that came in (again).

Mike, prior to yours, the last reply in this thread was over 45 days old, therefore it was un-stickied somewhere around that 45-day period.  The intent of having a thread be a sticky is to keep time-sensitive and other important information up at the top of a forum where it is easy to locate, the exception being the dyno threads that you will find in the boards for each model that we chose to keep stickied for easy finding.  We were having a proliferation of stickied topics, particularly here in the SEUC section, to where you would only see a handful of other threads when viewing the first page of this forum.  So, we developed the sticky guidelines that are posted in the FAQ section.  Please refer to those for more information on how we are handling sticky threads here on the site: http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=12159.0

I totally respect the Rules, and the Moderators decisions, but We decided when this thread was created in order for it not to become a diluted with too many posts like the the 2006 bad paint thread, that the posting would be kept to a minimum . Hence the no posts for 45 days or more. Can you please reconsider? I feel its an important enough thread to SOME of us that it still should be stickied in this forum?, Thanks either way , Mike

This thread is only going to be used as a sticky to keep a LIST and Track of those of us who have the '06 paint problem, who are either still fighting to get replacement parts, or have gotten a refference # for new parts, or are now getting their 2nd or even 3rd set of parts replaced. But Most Importantly, to start checking off those who do get their parts replaced to their satsifaction. There are 34 including myself who are on this thread, if I list you and you desire to be taken off, PM me, and I will modify the post. Or if you wish to be added to the list, again, PM me and I'll modify the post, I would like to not have this thread turn into a long one like the other paint thread. So if you post , please only post a change in your status on the list...i.e. I got my new parts and am happy. I will then change your status on the list. Thank You.

Jim said he'd sticky this for me, Thanks Jim !!! Please excuse any bad typeing or mis-spelling. Highlighted names are people who have stated they are happy with the outcome of their paint problem.

Another good reason to keep this thread at the top is for any observers and or MoCo brass that surf this site like they claim too, to easily see this along with the 2006 bad paint thread.  It is still an on going issue for a few of us.

Mike,
What we have suggested to others that wanted their thread to get attention is to add a link to it in your signature. AJ has done that for the SEUC3 Registry, Howie did it for his pickup ride, and others have done it for threads they wanted to get publicity. Every time you make a post then it will get attention.

I highly doubt that the MoCo brass would click on a link in one of my posts regarding this issue  . The whole idea of this thread remaining at the top was so maybe MoCo would see that even though they tried to rip most of us off on the bad paint, this thread would be a way for them to see the positive as they step up and do the right thing, not only for the guys like myself, but also any future issues like this one that may arise. When threads like the "Must have changes to the Ultra" outways an issue that some of us are still dealing with as important 'To some of us" as the bad paint. Its time for me to say farewell to this site and its moderators. Its just too bad, one of the moderators isn't in the same boat as I am with this issue. You'd probably be a little more sensitive to the request if you were. See you all on the road. Peace -out.

FYI

It has been my experience that (unless someone does something really stupid that demands immediate attention) the moderators and the owner talk thru the issues that arise and decide the best action or approach to take concerning that issue. It has also been my experience that decisions made by the above have always been to promote fairness and the betterment of this site.

Some forget that we are all a small part of a big site. Our rationale as to how things should be run will be considered and discussed by the powers to be and the determining resolution from that discussion is always to promote the betterment of this site.

My time here has proven to me that even as a small part of this big family the moderators and Naitram treat us like we are all very important to CVO Harley.com.

I can't ask for anymore than that.

I am in no way upset or  mad at anyone on this site, including the moderators, having said that, I still believe that because all of the moderators are long time members here, Im not sure any of them have had to go thru the paint process (an '06 problem) ? , but Im pretty sure at least some of them have had to deal with the peeling chrome problems, those threads seem to remain at the top of their respected rooms. That seems a little one way to me.  I do feel that its the moderators site to run as they see fit. That does not mean I have to agree with it or think all of the decisions are fair. This is a dicussion site, I'm discussing an issue. I hope you all understand that its an important one to me, Just as I have understood how important to some of you the other issues on other topics are, including the old peeling chrome issues which I myself, did NOT have..

Mike

This will be my last post on this subject.

Your last post is really no different than the one before it.
You reactivated your account to say the same thing,,, again!
So you have decided to leave because the mods didn't do things the way you wanted them to.
So be it.
That's like "if you don't play the way I want to play then I'm taking my ball and going home"
See ya!

But how can you help others with their paint problems if your not here. (answer, you can't)
So is the issue that you want to help others with their paint problems and have fun or is the issue that the mods didn't make changes you requested?
Please note that since you deactivated your account you are listed as "guest".
When your account was current and valid you operated under the same conditions as the rest of us.
Whether as a current member or listed as a guest, we are all guest on this site. I don't go into someone's house as a guest and tell them how to run their house.
I appreciate the fact that you say you are not mad at anyone but please understand that the rules are the rules. As far as I'm concerned your presence is appreciated but should you decide to leave your presence will be missed.

The choice is yours.
Should you decide to stay please make that decision for the right reason!

It's a great place with great people!
