Chip, did you change it out, or do these come with a heavier spring?

Brian

Freedom installed it as part of my package.
I'm at the office now but will look at the paperwork when I get home and see what part # it is.

I'm I understanding that replacing this part requires removal of right side pipe (Rinehart)? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Also can you advise if a better time to do this would be during an oil change? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

It had the heavier spring![smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Yeap, was counting on the fact that, if there was a problem, that's all that would likely need to be done.  So don't have to be too concerned ahead of time.  Hopefully it'll be just fine.  But if not it's nice to know there's a solution that's pretty cheap and pretty easy.  Good to know for sure that it was all that was necessary to handle that level of output on yours.  You ride it harder than I do so if it served in that application I'd be fine.

Just like Hubbard I don't do burnouts or slam the transmission.
I think with the spring all will be fine.
Your not much for abuse of the moving parts so I don't see a problem.

Gary, looks like doing the oil filler spout is completely do-able with the pipe on after all.

I was able to get a 3/16" allen head from my nut driver set in there and then use a 1/4" box end to get the two lower bolts loose.

Won't be able to get a torque wrench in there, but my highly calibrated right hand said that the torque was set at "goodentite" from the factory on these bolts.  Not a critical area for torque, anyhoo.

Mark, this is the view of the right side without the factory head pipe in the way . . . . . . . . . and the reason why you need MORE CHROME!!!!!!! [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Ok, thanks. Looks like it might be something I can tackle then. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Well, if you're doing true duals, you need more chrome!

You should consider doing the chrome vent line, oil filler, starter solenoid cover, and neutral switch cover to dress up these areas that will become suddenly apparent after losing the stock crossover pipe!

Yep Brian, thought I had that covered with the new Chrome starter but I guess I'd better go to the parts counter again Monday.

Let's see, 62470-02 Chrome Oil Filler, 33111-02 Chrome Vent Line, 33919-00 Neutral Switch Cover should just about cover me? Anything else? I still have not checked under the sofa cushions for loose change. ;D  On you next trip to Memphis, stop and drop some change in my can, I'll be the third one on the left in front of Bumpus with the "[highlight]will work for CHROME"[/highlight] sign.Damn this site is worse than my wifey $$$$$$$! :'(

Ooooooo, chrome starter, very nice! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I think with that and the other pieces you mentioned, you'll be in pretty good shape in the chrome department, but better double-check that with 'dood just to be sure. [smiley=nixweiss.gif] ;D

Oh well since you put it that way... Brian how did you miss the obvious.....

You say you are getting the chrome starter??? May as well add the chrome inner primary (60739-01) while you doing that. Let's see what else....

Oh, how about the Lifter Block Cover (18248-99), and if you decide to do the Chrome Inner Primary you may as well continue that theme with these - Cylinder Base Cover For Twin Cammed-Equiped Models (32753-01). ;D
