Nova Scotia is home to over 160 historic lighthouses, but no beacon is as photographed as the one in Peggy’s Cove.

Built in 1915, Peggy’s Point Lighthouse still keeps watch over surging ocean waves and working lobster boats.

Scramble over giant rocks worn smooth by the sea and share in the view.

[Jock]

The water is crystal clear!  I cannot say the same for the Atlantic Ocean back home.

There are less than 40 full time residents of Peggy’s Cove and when this church was in operation they had 4 members.  It was closed for years but is now open to the public for visits only.  No services are held any longer.

This is for my friend BUBBA!  This store is for you!  And me!

William E. deGarthe carved this “lasting monument to Nova Scotian fishermen” on a long granite outcropping behind his house in Peggy’s Cove. The sculpture depicts 32 fishermen, their wives and children, St. Elmo with wings spread, and the legendary Peggy of Peggy’s Cove.

After a fun day, it was time to say so long to Peggy’s Cove and head down Lighthouse Trail to Hailfax.

Boston, Branson and others have Duck Boats, they have Frog Hoppers!
