FLSTFSE2 Exhaust
« on: May 29, 2014, 06:50:47 PM »

Well I thought I knew my (wife's) bike.  A 2006 FLSTFSE2.  Was just doing some work on it and noticed a stamp on the Screamin Eagle II Downward Slash pipes.  It said "Not For Road Use"  Closed course use only.......
Now I bought this bike with 600 miles on it and thought it was stock.  Am I mistaken?  Can anyone shed some light.  I tried to find a web page with the original equipment listed on it but was unsuccessful.
Thanks and cheers all.

It just means those pipes don't conform to govt restrictions on exhaust.  It's no different than Vance and Hines, Rinehart, etc.  I'm sure some MoCo lawyer made them put that on their SE exhaust.  If you look thru the accessory catalog, you'll see other items listed for race use/off road only.  If I'm not mistaken, Harley quit selling exhausts that do not conform with Uncle Sugar's regulations.

Those are not original.  That stamp was only on the P&A mufflers.

That renders the bike virtually worthless no matter what you do to it now, it's ruined... forever. PM me and I'll make you a reasonable offer.  ;D
