Yeah,  this summer in the 'Burgh is pretty crappy too. I was thinking about trading the bike in for a good umbrella ... prolly get more use out of it than my bike.

We've got three times the normal rainfall back home. Mass flooding.

And tonight's round is about to start.  Right on schedule.  We're in quite a cycle - hot and humid in the day and terrific storms at night...

We have been having horrendous rainstorms each evening.
In prepping the home here for sale I just put a new roof and gutters on.
The downspouts are 3" X 4". The rain was so hard the downspouts were completely full and shooting water out 2 to 3 feet.
Fortunately the rain only last about two hours. I'm thinking the TV weatherman said we have gotten 4" of rain each night.
I'm tired of rain!

Not only are we getting heavy rains, but high winds, thunder, lightening and the occasional tornado.  The morning news once again was dominated by storm damage and power outages.  We only lost power for an instant last night, but unfortunately we had a power surge, which took out the remote control portion of a ceiling fan.  High enough that I'll have to drag out scaffolding to replace it.  A PITA...

Chip my home state is flooded and under a tornado warning today. It's crazy out there.

I was at Myrtle Beach on Friday and Saturday and it poured like crazy off and on.

We just hope it's something simple on your bike and you can get on the road those last miles before the rain hits.
Keep us informed.
Your a little far for help from NC.

Here in North Geprgia, we've been getting lots of rain this year, not quite as much as last year though... but nothing even CLOSE to what you guys have been describing here. And no winds or tornadoes like you've been having, either!

I hope this crazy weather calms down soon, and no one has any property damage nor personal injuries from it.

We did get out on Lake Lanier on Saturday, which was the first rainless day in awhile... then yesterday and today the rains have returned. Hopefully things will clear out for everyone for the upcoming Independence Day weekend.

We raced at Road Atlanta a couple times a year for about 25 years (near Braselton).  Often stayed at Lake Lanier - (nice place to stay!)  I've seen it from a beautiful mirror like lake to almost completely dry over the years.  It always recovers sooner or later, doesn't it!   :2vrolijk_21:

HA! Yes, Lake Lanier is funny... In '09 it was down over 20 FEET, and entire marinas were sitting on dry land. Took 3 years to recover. Turns out the wonderful Army CoE was letting out 422 million gallons too much water PER DAY, and they actually blamed a "faulty indicator". Idiots never bothered to go outside and look at the BIG FRIGGIN' NUMBERS painted on the control house and see the lake was falling far too rapidly!

It's been at full pool since late '12 though... With all the rain we've had last year and this year. It's actually about a foot over full pool at 1073 feet now.

The problem we are having this year is mosquitos carrying off small pets and children! I got the crap bit out of me last week while working in the yard by horseflies... they are nasty little critters that leave painful and slow-healing bites! I have three big bites on my left side that are still red and welted, and a couple on my legs.
