Help with Powervision Tune for 2 into 1 System
« on: June 24, 2014, 05:57:09 PM »

I have a 2013 CVO Breakout and just put on a set of Vance and Hines Big Radius 2 into 1 pipes, and my powervision.  The Dynojet people sent me a tune that actually said in the title 2 into 2??? Anyway, I used that tune and what I am getting is a bit of popping on acceleration (usually between 3rd-4th gear and 5th-6th (doesn't always happen, but enough to be an issue).  I have used the autotune feature, but that doesn't seem to be doing any good.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Had the same issue with my 13 CVO Breakout and powervision. no amount of "auto tuning" would really get it right. Had Dynojet on my speed dial and talked to them many times and they sent several base maps nothing was right. Took it to the tuner along with the PV and now the issue is gone. 96HP, 112 TQ.

Autotune using the narrow bands on the Vision, I have tuned several of those. One guy had done over 50 data collections and the bike and it still ran like crap still ran like crap. it was a stock 96" with true duals, S&S 551 EZ'z and a canned map from a leading Power Vision supplier. Autotune insinuates something that is greater than it what it really boils down to. Its really a great word... for a guy trying to sell you a tuner. Take it to a competent dyno tuner and enjoy the benefits of your investment and the seamless response todays EFI is capable and designed to offer. Your bike will reward you will smooth power and the opportunity to live a much longer. Time after time I see guys make performance mods and skip the tune. It makes about as much sense as putting a $4000 set of wheels on shopping car,t

You have 2 type of Autotune on PV autotune basic and autotune bro, on autotune basic regardless the cells collected by the narrow bands it wants make your bike run well.

I made 2 session of tune one with autotune using the stock narrow band and second one pro tune using AT110 pro kit wide band from daynojet

On the basic autotune I spent over 10 hours to collect 50% cells, flashed ECM and the bike still run crap

With pro autotune it takes almost 2 hour to collect 95% of cells, then another 30 minutes for sparks, also you will be able to see your AFR, flashed the ECM bike is running smoother and  stronger.

I have compaired both MAP's and discovered that big differents numbers are in VE.

This was street tune, am waiting for the only one workshop in Bahrain to fix their dayno machine in order to check where do I stand.

Conclusion: basic autotune is crap eather you need to by the pro kit AT110 or take your bike to a real tuner

Cheers

Update:  I requested a new tune from Dynojet and they sent me a 2 into 1 for a 110 engine and the bike ran great.  Set up the auto tune feature to see if I could improve it any more.  When I set up auto tune, the power vision told me that it will "alter the tune to make it compatible with auto tune".  After going through all the steps I then got popping on acceleration  when shifting from 3rd to 4th and 5th to 6th.  After riding I then reflashed the 2 into 1 tune they sent me and bike ran well again.  So, based on my experience the auto tune feature seems worthless.  I admit that this has been my only experience with the function, but it didn't work for me.

Don't sweat it, I've tuned umpteen bikes that guys never could to get to run right using "auto tune".
