King tour pack backrest pad fix?
« on: July 08, 2014, 07:51:00 PM »

I am looking for any info on anyone who may have my problem with using the king tour pack as a solo piece. After I relocated to the forward solo position and using a mustang wide vintage solo seat-I have no lower back support. Has anyone modified the stock flat lower portion on the king tour pack backrest? Any help for an aching back would surely help!!

what i've seen done is the armchair backrest removed from the tourpack, a small banana pad put in it's place, and then the rider uses the matching backrest to their solo seat.....

not the most elegant of solutions, but it seems to work, and doesn't look too bad.  actually, imo it looks better than the big armchair backrest in the solo position.

When I use the forward tourpak mount, something comes out of the baggage and gets rolled up and stuffed under the back rest pad.
