'Thought that I read somewhere that for the S&S warranty to be in effect that the motor had to be installed by an S&S Dealer?

Im an authorized S&S dealer but Id never heard that it had to be installed by one to maintain warranty. I have not done the 11. Steve whats the CCP on the 111's and do they come with different cam/compression options? Im still not sold that theyre the way to go for touring. Curious if they have more CCP and in turn more heat? My HC 124 (still pretty low on CCP and static for the 640 cams that come in them) runs cool as a cucumber at factory compression and good tune. Way cooler than my 103" that cam factory and pushing 200 CCP with it and a set of TMan Torqster cams and a set of Big Boyz heads. Compression builds heat as you know but others may not unless their memory is jogged. My little 103 would honk it on for what it was but obviously even way down on compression it was no match for the 124.

Power builds heat, not compression. Hp is just a measure of BTU's of heat output from an engine. While compression is part of it, you still must build the heat to make the power and there is no way around it. Good old mother nature see's to that. How efficient you are with the heat generated, converting it to mechanical energy plays into what you feel more than the rest of it.

Well, youre right, but Im not wrong.  :P If compression didnt build heat, we could all ride motors with 300 CCP without preignition on 85 octane fuel.

Okay, here is my plan....
1: S&S LC 124
2: Baker trap door
3: Not sure on the primary chain tensioner!
4: Screamin Eagle 58 mm tb with 5.3 injector.
5: Still looking at what clutch will work with the Harley hyd clutch
6: New swing arm bushings.
7. New belt factory
8: Primary bearing
9: New Sreamin Eagle compensator sprocket.
10. Break-in and tune by Ed at The Dyno Difference.
Is there anything I'm missing while I'm at this point. Will the crush drive be okay? What about new motor mounts? They look okay...
Thanks for all the feed back!!!

4. You might want to have it polished (inside). Make sure that the A/C backing plate matches the 58.

6. 'Highly recommend the GlidePro Kit for the s/a bushings and motor mount. 'Have GlidePro on both old & new frames, and very happy with both!!!

What are you using for Tuner? Exhaust?

By the time your done screwing around with the belt drive IF you ride hard might as well dump it to start with and go to a chain drive and be done with it. Not sure of the upgrade cost but I bet by the time you upgrade the cushdrive and belt its over 75% of a chain conversion that will handle the power.

Plus R&R labor unless you can do it yourself. Mine was about 12k with labor but I added a pipe and paid more for HP Inc TB and the injectors.

I doubt it, S&S lists the 111" @ 9.8:1 compression w/ .585" cams.
