Dont let dealers fool you.

It can be done with a little work

Dont forget to get a laydown bracket too from Bullet Boys

Gunshot, Welcome..........even though you've been a member longer than me, and you're the one who told me about this place  ;D.  I've seen this done, and it has been discussed in detail here.  Do a search for SEUC tour pak removal.  It is involved, but doable......and you might want to check with your dealer about possible warranty implications.........if that concerns your lady.  Other than that, with your skills, and those of "the world's greatest Harley mechanic"  ;) it should be a fairly straight forward job.
What about you?  Are you going to upgrade to a SEUC, or keep the pumpkin?

ATTACK!

Tell the SERK Girl that Mrs. Bagger, the Bagger Girl, the two Brown Bagger Dogs and I say "HELLO," and we want to know when you guys are going to come visit with us

GunShot,

Welcome to the site.

You may want to call Clermont Harley in Clermont Florida.  Speak to Dave the service manager.

They removed a tour pack there and put the amp in one of the side bags.   Hawg wired is the other choice for this.   I saw this done and it was an 07 B/0 and I gave the guy a card to the site here and maybe he will see the post and explain the whole thing for you.

I have the hog-wired amp 300 watt in fairing, and quick release set up to allow easy re-install of tour pak for long trips. Talk to HD-Dude, he did mine.

Thanks for welcome.  I check the site on a regular basis but don't say much.  I knew if there was a mod to be done someone on this board had probably done it.  We looked at the bike last night and I think she' going to commit to it this morning.  I pointed out to her that tour pack removal may be a moot point since she seldom removes the one on her SERK.  Level headed person that she is, she of course agreed with me.  I'll let you know how this turns out and thanks again for the warm welcome

The removable brackets are SO much better looking than that crap that came stock. wether you leave your tourpak on all the time or not, that sh*tty license plate bracket has to go.
