Newbie discovery & question
« on: December 12, 2006, 06:36:33 PM »

OK. I'm going to admit this to all. As most of you know I took delivery of my B/O about 10 days ago. 5 of which I've been in Nassua. Now have 855 miles.

On day 2 of ownership I'm looking at the fairing and wondering what that silver button was on the left side? So I push it thinking maybe it has something to do w/ releasing the fairing ??? Well before going and asking the dealer, I asked a buddy & he showed me the cigarette lighter. Go figure!

After feeling really dumb  [smiley=nixweiss.gif] I realized this could come in handy  8-) .

Now my question: where can I pull power to have it as constant hot?
TIA, AJ

It depends on what your hooking up? A high current item should go directly to the battery. There is also a red aux wire in front of the battery that you could tap into. There are also many places in the fairing.

Ive plugged mine in to do a quick charge when parked and phone was almost dead, Dont plug in your cell phone charger and forget its there when you get on the bike !!! would be nice to have one in the bags.

Hell I'm almost too young to remember when they put those things in cars. Aren't they called 'power points' now? And I still can't find the plasma  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]. Guess I'll call the dealer on that one in the morning.

I got all excited this afternoon.  [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] There was a notice on the door for a certified package from the dealer! I'm thinking, 'the plasma TV' has finally arrived! [smiley=orange.gif] I was all worked up trying to figure out how I was going to hook it up. Well it turned oiut to be the certificate of origin. Oh well, at least I can get my tag now. AJ
