Looks great Chip, Randy is having my inner fairing painted to match my bike, it's in the shop now, he also sent my stereo/CD player out to be fixed also, nice Christmas present in my eyes...can't wait to see the difference in my ride.   

That Randy is a smart man PinkE. A painted inner fairing is one of the best bang for the bucks you can do to a bike. From flat dull black/charcoal to shiny matching inner fairing it is very eye appealing. Remember we need pictures when it's done.

Dave you are right.
If we (site members here) think the CVO Ultra has had a long run, the Wing has been basically the same since 2001.
I'm on a Wing forum and everyone was looking for that new 40th Anniversary Wing to have major upgrades. It didn't.
As good a bike as it is the new ones (say 06 and up) are getting long in tooth.
For Honda it appears the Wing is just a small part of their overall plan and unfortunately not a priority.
The desired upgrades are a 6 speed (yes Harley was there first) and an upgrade from 1800cc to 2000cc and up.
Mine is a fine bike that I got a great deal on. I love to ride and what I buy next will probably surprise everyone, including me.

Don't understand why they don't upgrade to 6 speed or increase motor size.  It took them forever to add xm and I think to get it you have to spring for the navigation package.  I think if they were still building them in Ohio it would have been upgraded in Japan it is just another product line.

The Japanese cars and bikes were never big on bells and whistles, they are always looking for reliability over everything else they do add the upgrades on the cars and bikes but it takes them 2 or 3 years after everybody else who knows why .

really nice looking bike and congrats.  It is all about the fun and the memories that are created. I love love my HD's, nothing really like it, but one day who knows......enjoy and ride safe.

Hey Chains, I have to say that red and black combo on the GW does look sharp....not sharp enough for me to have another one, but still sharp.  I had a red 2001 1800.  Nice ride but only kept it 10 months.  I did put 9,360 miles on her during that time, however.  It just didn't fit me well or as well as I was expecting.

Ok, I see lots of nice comments about CHIP`s new bike, BUT the real question is will he be able to keep up the their mauto (well however it is spelled). YOU MEET THE NICEST PEOPLE ON A HONDA.

I had a black 2001, had a seat made to set me back 1 1/2 inch further. Sold it 5 years ago with 104,000 miles on it. The only thing that ever went bad was the rear end. Bought a brand new from a trike builder for $10.00 and fixed it. Bike looked like it was new when I sold it.  I could,d actually corner with it in the mountains of north Georgia better than I could on my Harley.   Sold it when I got tired of it just sitting not being ridden.   I grew up when it didn't matter what you rode just that you rode so I enjoy all motorcycles no matter who made them.

As I rode the Wing I realized something was missing. (well besides that V Twin rumble)
The inner fairing was like a stock Harley dresser, flat charcoal black.
Time for a little love for the wing!
I think it turned out great.

Here is the one I had.  This picture was taken at 100,000 miles. Sort of went wild with chrome when I got it. lol
