I do have compassion for his family and friends. I loved his work. He was a great person. I feel for his family.I don't have compassion for suicide none at all. I'm sorry but that's how I feel. As I said at the beginning of my 1st thread.

No matter who it is I don't have compassion for suicide. It's plain selfish.

It's not right in anyway you look at it.

I'm sorry to offend anyone but that's how I feel about it.

It's ok Pat.  Your level and types of sympathies are entirely your own and need not be apologized for.  I'll dig even a little deeper, feel even a little more; to release enough extra compassion for my fellow man in to the ether to cover both of us.

My family has dealt with suicide. My wife's uncle decide to blow his head off one day because he couldn't take it anymore. His wife found him. He left behind 2 beautiful kids ,6 and 10. Those kids took it hard.

To look in those kids eyes and see the pain was enough for me. That's why I feel this way about suicide.

Very sad to hear this. Robin was very good friends with Mr. Belushi when he was still with us that could have been where his cocaine addiction started but that was many years ago didn't realize it was still a problem now. I find it interesting that people that talk of suicide usually never attempt but the ones who do just do it and don't say anything. I agree with Don about what it really takes to cross that line. Most of us could never do it which is a good thing. RIP Robin and thanks for the laughs.

Not sure how I feel about suicide. For sure I do not condone it. But who are we to judge. I do believe there are times when we as human beings do not function as we should...sorta like my Harley. We all have our own imperfections. Depression and addiction are both life debilitating diseases. If I had a terminal disease not sure how I would handle it towards the end before the real pain and suffering began. I for sure would not want to be a burden on anyone else. I like to think I would man up and take it as best I can...but who knows...who's to judge.

Yep its sad but no more than the loss of any other soul on that day. Guess we react to the comic genuis and wonder with the funds available why couldn't it be fixed. In my biblical opinion Mr. Williams real demons have introduced him to his eternal home and it will not be one of rest. I'm Just a sinner saved by grace. Thank you God for showing me my life through your eyes and providing your Son as the payment for my Sin. I think its a great time to celebrate the life we can all have in Christ. Wish we all would. Off the soapbox now! Just had to take the opportunity.

Will miss his comedy.  Sorry he didn't have someone to talk too that was a true friend, turnout may have been different .

Have had too many close acquaintances and family members of friends go out this way.  Tough on everyone.

Its bad news, however, suicide considered as crime in all heavenly books
No one knows how the person thinks at this stage
Really i feel sorry for his family and friends
