My neighbor just brought this Baby  home yesterday from Crossroads HD Wilkesboro NC $39k cash out the door

How does the Yellow look in person? Is it a flat or metallic Yellow?

Maybe you can answer this because I know there are more crap dealers out there that won't cover non stock bikes then will. I think it's great that your dealer will take care of you but what happens with the ESP when you get stranded 600+ miles from home and you can't get to "your" dealer?
Well then I'm hosed... Depending on how bad-expensive it was I would ship it. I did have a problem (battery) about 150 miles away and the dealer went up and got it for me and then warrantied the voltage reg and did not charge me to get it.

Glad to hear. It's really unfortunate that this is even a discussion. If you buy the esp you shouldn't have to worry about it at all because that's what warranty is for right?

I agree. I don't mean to be Polly-Anna about things and being on this site just about every night since I joined it I get that there are many many crap dealers out there and I am very glad that mine is great and has always taken great care of me. I have also always tried to be a good, loyal customer to them.
I travel quite a bit and whenever I have extra time I always try and go by the local dealers to get the local shirts and definitely see way different attitudes in some. There is a dealer where I live that is a completely different story. When I went to buy my bike my dealer didn't have it in stock and the other dealer did. When my dealer tried to trade for it the other dealer would not trade and was marking up the bike $7000 dollars (not a typo..) and told my dealer that unless I wanted to shop all over the country (was late in the year and not many more of my bikes would be available) I had to pay their price. Since my dealer had nothing they could do about it they told me that the closest one was in OR and set me up with a contact so I could deal directly with them. Very cool of my dealer to do that but they realized they would start and make a very loyal customer out of me (which they did) and I would make it my mission to trash their local competitor while they were at it (which I also did). Point is that I do see what a crap dealer acts like!

You are very fortunate Sd. I have 5 dealers in a 100 mile radius.  Over the last year, I have finally developed a bond with a guy in service at the nearest one. It took a lot of searching to make that connection. Most places and employees just made me feel unappreciated.

This 2015 CVO Street Glide dealer quote was provided today: (Yellow/Black)

$36,349.00 (Apparently the original msrp was lower for some colors $35,499), but recently raised across the board-dealer caught this, this morning
300.00 (Dealer Processing Charge-not required by law-this fee depends on your state)
      435.00 (Freight Charge)
      465.00 (Dealer Prep Charge)
226.00 (Tag/Title/Transfer/Lien Fees=will vary based on your state)
1,118.94  (Tax, based on $18K trade for a '14 SG w/ABS and Security[bike is not a SG Special] w/13K miles and counting)

Total Price $38,893.94      '

Some thoughts: Please provide some honest feedback/suggestion to the forum

My thoughts are the first one is just a way for dealer to make money.  I have never seen that one on a bike I have purchased.

Dealer prep, that is the price I have seen at most dealers.  It is negotiable.

If it were me I would ask them to do away with the 300 and the 465 prep, they may agree or may not.  They may do away with only the 300.  If so then ask them to thow in the 1 K service for free.

The yellow is very shinny with flake in it,  it really pops out in the sun.

Traded my 07 Ultra in on a 14 Ultra Limited.  Purchased the esp plan and will continue to do so with any new bike i own from Harley.  Learned my lesson the hard with my 07.  Did not have any issues until i won the "class action" lawsuit then 2 months after receiving a 2 year extended warranty plan my motor took a hit....would have cost me around 5k for the rebuild.  While motoring around on my 14 i got a screw bolt in my rear tire.  That experience would have cost me over $300 but the esp saved my butt again.  See everyone in "Maggie Valley".  later.

07 to 14, Nice upgrade. New frame and all the rushmore goodies. Not to me, that's enough to get a guy to trade. I just don't see enough big changes to pull me off my 12. And it helps that no bikes they have made since grab me. Ride safe and have a great time on your new scoot at the G2G.

good luck trying to get a silver/black candy Street Glide.

One of the local dealers here has the Orange/blue combo but said he tried to dealer trade for Silver/black and no other dealerships were letting them go, ever for same model trade.

My local dealer here has similar fees but offers discount on ESP and first two schedule MX are free.  Plus typical 10% off new parts at time of purchase.

Brother, I've been contemplating the same thing.  40k+ for a bike that has repeated problems with: factory tires, lifters, compensator, pealing/blistering chrome on billet parts, iPod hookup, radiator problems, engine paint flaking off, etc.  Not sure if 7 cubic inches, special paint, wheels, and chrome bling, plus the problems listed above are worth 40k+.  Strongly thinking about a RG Special as my next ride.

$40K was too rich for my blood. I traded my '11 and '12 CVO RG's for a '15 RG Special and couldn't be happier. The extra money for the CVO just isn't worth it to me anymore.

Not a big deal. Many people will fly or drive to a dealer with the bike in stock and pick it up or ride it home.

I'm not sure where you live but I am bowing out as well.  Too much money for these bikes, especially with all the issues.

Thanks! My dealer has a Yellow and Silver coming. I'm trying to decide between those two colors. I've heard the Yellow looks awesome in person
