:2vrolijk_21: verrrry nice DAVE !! Just one  ?? going from the RGC to the RGU dose it take long to get use to  :nixweiss: im waiting for a carbon/orange & i love my hot rod and going to trade it in just hope i dont miss it for to long

Moving there is not much difference at all, just a little more weight in the back from the tour pack.  Was use to it with in 100 or so miles on twisty roads.  I notice the difference most when lifting it off the side stand.

I will be getting a Street glide seat, and removing the tour pack when I am not traveling.  Some times I do miss the SERG, but the SERGU sure as more features and that makes up for it.

Thats not a bad thing, the bike your on is nice, seeing you ride with a King pack should be about the same when you go to your new one.

My Skunks last trip was to Sturgis this year.

I plan to ride the new one to Sturgis for the last couple days of the 75th.  Going to make it out in two days so we can be there for Thursday evening thru Sunday.

This 2015 CVO Street Glide dealer quote was provided today: (Yellow/Black)

$36,349.00 (Apparently the original msrp was lower for some colors $35,499), but recently raised across the board-dealer caught this, this morning
300.00 (Dealer Processing Charge-not required by law-this fee depends on your state)
      435.00 (Freight Charge)
      465.00 (Dealer Prep Charge)
226.00 (Tag/Title/Transfer/Lien Fees=will vary based on your state)
1,118.94  (Tax, based on $18K trade for a '14 SG w/ABS and Security[bike is not a SG Special] w/13K miles and counting)

Total Price $38,893.94      '

Some thoughts: Please provide some honest feedback/suggestion to the forum

My pet peeve is the Dealer Processing Charge and Dealer Prep Charges. Agree/Disagree?

Service:1K break-in which will set you back $300.00 or so; and $300+ every 5K miles thereafter while under warranty if dealer serviced 2 yr/24K warranty--5 dealer service visits if you ride the warranty limit in 2 years)

The tax figure (6%) listed above is based on the difference between line 1 and 2 and $18K trade value; tax rate will vary (based on your state law-higher or lower tax rate);

Refundable $500.00 Down payment to hold

What are your thoughts? Feedback? Haggling? Deal you got?

Can someone share what they paid as outlined above? Real figures they paid/are paying.

What are you paying for a extended service plan (ESP) on a new bike---I have never purchased this in the past. What does it cover? I am not a fan of warranty plans, but you may be?

The consensus favorite color seems to be the Hard Candy???

Demand will dictate price and your ability to negotiate, which may be trumped by how much business you do with the dealer, the  more business you do the power you have. If demand is high, the dealer may say take it or leave it.
ESP is probably a good buy if your gonna ride at least 5K miles or more a year, if you only ride a couple thousand a year I wouldn't spend the money.

What if you don't leave your bike stock? Won't they slither out of coverage and blame mods? Is esp worth it then?

I had a full Rinehart system, SE tuner, heavy breather and a quart of oil per 1000 mile usage issue, J&L/the dealer covered everything, no questions asked. They even put in new cams while it was apart.
I put new handle bars on this winter and did most if the work my self and had a heated hand grip that quit working, Okoboji HD covered the new grip replacement except for an hour of labor due to needing to repull wires in bigger bars, which I thought was BS.
The more miles you ride the more likely you'll have an issue. The sales man at J&L says the same.

That all depends on the dealer/customer relationship. I never had a problem.

My pet peeves:
Dealer prep is just a way to nail you for more money.  $465 dealer prep?  If labor is $100/hr, that would mean it takes almost 5 hrs to prep a bike for sale.  Heck, it only takes 18 hrs to assemble a Ford pickup truck.  $300 dealer processing...I don't even know what this is.  Should be renamed "additional dealer profit."

Agree with that. I (they) put in a 120r and my dealer still finds a way to cover me. Think it depends on the quality of the dealer and the relationship.

Maybe you can answer this because I know there are more crap dealers out there that won't cover non stock bikes then will. I think it's great that your dealer will take care of you but what happens with the ESP when you get stranded 600+ miles from home and you can't get to "your" dealer?

You always have the option to ship it home, the only two things in life which are for sure, Death and Taxes, seems that most people have had positive ESP experiences, so my advice is buy it if you ride a bunch, don't if your a fair weather rider.
