P0108 & P1353 CODES
« on: August 24, 2014, 02:06:57 PM »

P0108 Map Sensor High
P1353 Front Cylnder No Combustion

My engine light comes on intermittently and then stays on after about 5 minutes of riding.  The engine seems to be running fine, but throws the two codes above.  Additionally, I'm only getting around 30 mpg and the first 1/4" of the spark-plugs are black.  My setup is as follows;

- 2009 Dyna Super Glide
- Hypercharger
- Demon Cycles 2-in-1 pipes (no baffles, no oxygen sensors)
- Power Commander V (Dyno Tuned but not exactly right yet)

Questions?
1.  What could cause this.
2.  How to fix it
3.  Is it safe to ride

Thx in advance.

When using an add-on tuning device like a Power Commander one of the first and easiest tests is to disconnect the PC and connect the bike harness directly to the stock ECM.  It's not uncommon for a fault in the PC or PC wiring to cause DTC's and problems.  Once you have the PC out of the loop, clear the codes and take a ride to see if the codes return.  If they do, then further diagnostics are called for.  If not, it is very likely the PC or it's wiring is the problem.  If you're running oxygen sensor eliminators or just with the sensors disconnected, you may need to reconnect them for testing purposes.

Re: P0108 & P1353 CODES - SOLUTION FOUND
« Reply #3 on: August 31, 2014, 12:37:36 PM »

I solved the two error codes as described below; thx to all.

P0108 Map Sensor High: Solution - Vacuum hose on Hypercharger was split and dryrotted.  Replaced hose

P1353 Front Cylinder No Combustion: Solution - Tightened loose cap on front sparkplug and seated sparkplug wire tightly over sparkplug.
