« on: September 01, 2014, 04:20:25 PM »

Are the covers that come with the CVO's water resistant?

Not the older ones. Just a fabric cover.

As was just mentioned the newer bikes have outdoor covers....

If it's for indoor use (as in the older covers), it will be stated on the tag "indoor use only".

It also takes up to much valuable space on the bike when traveling.

Yep, or some canvas waterproofing like they use on tents or boat covers. Makes them a little stiffer. I use mine for a dust cover anyway.

Good to know... I immediately stored it on a shelve in the garage without even reading the type of cover that it was.  I just assumed it was indoor only... ass-u-me

The one that came with my '13 SEUC is an outdoor cover. I used it once but will never use it again. There are many better options that aren't near as heavy and bulky as that one. I put it on the shelf and bought an Oasis.

Agreed - the cover takes up too much valuable space when touring. May not be the type of advertising one would wish either in your travels, but I'm pleased to get it with the bike.

I agree! The best theft deterrent for a Harley is a Honda cover. :D

Here's a thought.
I could ride the Wing and put a Harley cover on it.
That way I could be the "Designated Decoy."
