Any one here using the GMR 577 cams in their 110?

Pros?  Cons?  Thoughts?

Thanks

I have them and love them! I had other engine work done when the cams were installed so I can't tell you what a cam change only would look like but my bike makes great power from about 2,200 to 5,700 RPM, never really falls off hard.

Can't think of any cons.

If you have questions give Steve @ GMR a call. He's very knowledgeable and great to talk with. Their website has some info and dyno charts. You may be able to find something there comparable to what your building and get an idea of what kind of power you should make.

I highly recommend these cams!!

Thanks Joe. I did call them earlier this week on Tuesday and left a message. I have not received a return call yet. Maybe they are closed for vacation or something  :nixweiss:

Steve just installed his 577 cams, lifters etc and tuned my cvo breakout and it's really fun bike now.  Steve is GMR.... Meaning he's the only guy there so it might take him a day to get back to you but he's great to work with and really went out of his way on my bike.

I've only had my bike 6 weeks and it's been at Harley for 4 weeks with issues so I only rode it back and forth from Harley with it running poorly and they never could fix my bike so they took it to Steve to tune. I decided to have the cams changed while he had it after reading all the issues with how hot the 110 runs and the crap valve train, so I can't comment on how much the bike changed from stock because it never run correctly until Steve fixed it.

I'll get him to shoot me the dyno sheet so you guys can see the change

I had this cam installed in early spring. No other mods from stock except pipes and TTS tuner.

I really like this cam because it still has great TQ down low but will now run thru the rpm range without falling on its face at 4000 rpm like before. Plus the bike runs a lot cooler.

No CONS so far. It added roughly 10HP & 6TQ.  Running V&H dresser duals and Rinehart 4" muffs.

I really like this cam so far. My next step would be to have the heads done and a bigger throttle body but that can wait for a while.

Tuned a set here and the CCP was lower than if I'd have set it if I was building the engine (came in right at 185) and also not the best exhaust for making power (Rinehart True Duals) in a 107" motor but had some nice head work and hand ported throttle body (stock fly by wire 50mm) and they worked exceptionally well. The bike made more power than I expected on my ultra greedy in comparison to most Dyno's. Bike was an 08 FLHX tuned with TTS MasterTune. Customer called a few days later and said he ran it thru the quarter against a lighter bike (Softail) with a stage 4 113" build and tune from the dealership and beat him 3 lengths.

I had them in my 103", so i cant speak to the power adds in a 110". I can however say that the are a very quiet cam aand the provide a very linear powerband. YMMV

Yup had them in mine.  Very good cam but I also added some head work with compression and they performed well.  Some cams need some compression to get them to hit their sweet spot.  GMR can offer more info on that.
