Me, Susan, and Brother Otis rode down to Delbarton,WV yesterday to pick up a new CVO RK that I named Orange Crush.
As some of my recent posts have mentioned I have been debating a new purchase for some time and I have to say that I am very pleased with my decision. After 11 years of riding Ol Betsy, it was time to step up to the newer iron, but I didn't want to go the wet head route. Not that I have anything against water-cooling, I just HATE lowers.
After seeing that the new Street glide was a wet head, and after lusting after the Orange Road Kings for the better part of a year, I decided it was time to jump. The folks at Mike's HD made me a great straight up purchase price that I couldn't refuse. By the way if anyone is looking for a Sherwood Green RK call Stephanie at Mike's 304-475-0123 and tell her Shrader sent you.
I've only got to ride her around 16 miles so far. It poured rain on the way home and has been raining today. So far I've cored out the stock mufflers, changed the mirrors and removed the heel shifter. I think that I am basically gonna leave this motor alone as far as major mods go, at least for a while. May change the lifters this winter if the 14 s prove to be no better than the ones I read about making parts on here all the time.
I am gonna listen to some bikes down in the valley before deciding what else to do about exhaust. Otis has a set of stock head pipes that I could decat without any downtime. Riding with Hubbard I've obviously heard the D&D fatcats but I have read a lot about the fullsac head pipes(3) and cores and am actually leaning that direction.

Shrader
