Thanks,
Going to give it a try this weekend. Did it cut down on the wind noise?

At 19" I was looking through the shield.  No wind noise but annoying.  At 17" I was able to look over the shield but am getting some light buffing at ears.  I'm sure a 17" re-curve by LRS will solve all my issues when they're on the market.

I noticed on the 19 I have the top corners are curved out a little. Removing 2" would take most of that curve out if not all of it.  The other day I reached up and pulled in on the left corner and most of he wind noise went away. May have just been my finger redirecting the air. Have you ever tried to put a curve in one?

It's the "forever quest", even with the new fairing .. hunt for the perfect windshield.

I am just shy of 6'4" and the stock windshield on the '15 FLTRUSE just comes up to my collar bone. I don't get wind in the face unless I am going over 60 but as I mentioned in another thread the wind hits the top of my helmet and I get a lot of helmet noise. Much like the gentleman who's radio gets muffled at high speeds (there is an adjustment in the radio somewhere in settings).

Anyway, the HD windshields have always been a bit on the flimsy side. I will ride like this until National comes out with the update V-Stream and then I will by a tall. My '11 FLTRUSE has a tall V-stream. It is shape to move wind away from the sides and it was mostly a look over for me except going uphill when it became somewhat of a look through.
