Now here's an opportunity not to be missed .

I was talking to John Johnston (owner of Hadrian Harleys) last night and he asked me to put a special offer for his Castles & Clans Tour on the CVO Forum.

The first Castles & Clans Tour runs from 30th April - 12th May (comprehensive details can be see on the Hadrian Harley website @ http://www.hadrianhdtours.co.uk/ ).

EEEK!!!  Easy to see he's an Englishman, Nige - "Scottish Malt Whiskey"    it says in the blurb for this tour!   Best ask him if he's invented that, because all we make in Scotland is WHISKY - "whiskey" is Irish or American!   :huepfenlol2:

Hey Jim well spotted , must have been a bit of bad proof reading going on there. Don't know why I didn't spot it myself as I love a drop of Malt.

I've let them know so that it can be changed.

Cheers,

Nige

I'll be checking back regularly Nige, just to make sure we don't have to send the Whisky Police to deal with him!   ;D

Hi Two - You have to remember that there aren't any motorways/highways involved in this trip, just small scenic country roads and byways taking in the best of the countryside in the North of England and Scotland. 176 miles of riding will take around 4 - 5 hours and then there is all the "stuff" to see on the way. The idea of the Tour is to give folk plenty of time to enjoy the heritage and history whilst riding the "American Dream" to complete the experience. The full tour is just over a thousand miles, which is quite a lot when you consider that our 'lil ole country' is only 874 miles from the extreme south to the far north.

If you fancy a harder riding tour why not ask Johnnie and Dot to come up with a custom tour for you. They'll tailor any tour to suit the individuals requirements including the "Iron Butt" devotees.

Thanks for taking a look at the site Two.

Familiar enough with the geography and the road system Nigel.  Was just surprised that the "long" day barely gobbled up one tank of gas.  It's not as if there's not some scenery up there worth seeing that could allow for some backtracking.  The route doesn't have to be efficient to still be fun or interesting.

It's getting close to the riding season - Hadrian Harley's half price offer is still on for the first tour of the season.
