Your local weather: High tomorrow 60º Low 44º. 60 % rain tonight 90 % tomorrow. Just rode to Home Depot & it's cold & overcast.

Sounds like its pretty solid because that's what we're getting over here.

I hope it improves for everyone around here for Christmas.  It's just not as much fun for the kids if you can't get outside and ride your new shiny bike. Come to think of it, that's still true for me too, especially this Christmas. [smiley=cucumber.gif]

Cheers!

You are so right.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] I got my bike Dec 17 in 04.  Got it in the garage about 20 minutes before we got a huge ice/snow storm.  But Chistmas day and the week up to the New Year, bike got 1200 miles on it. I actually had to force myself to quit riding it so it could go to the dealership to get it's first service and a bunch of add-ons.  The grin is still on my face.   ;) ;D

That sure sounds like you had a great Christmas that year.  I hope I can do the same.

Here's hoping for a pretty New Year's weekend.

Cheers!

Hey Chuck (Chief),
that stay in Ark is going to seem like a month long with that new bike waiting in your garage (plus the fact you are at your in-laws  [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]) .  Want me to come over and take it "around the block" a few times while you are gone?? Really, I do not mind at all...I am that kind of guy  ;)

I hope you are taking an enclosed trailer tomorrow cause it's going to rain like hell.  I went all the way to Chicago for my SEEG and it rained the entire way up and back.  Be careful and strap her down good and tight.

Thanks HarleySailor. I'm sure I'll love it. It's been on order since coming home from Sturgis, so the anticipation has been building for quite awhile.

Mama really likes the idea of a warm tushy. That was what got the final go ahead to get it.

Cheers!

Heated seats are SO wonderful.   [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Hey Chief,  Congratulations on the new ride. ;D I don't believe you'll be getting to much saddle time before Xmas , it's suppose ( at least thats what they say) to be pretty wet the next 4 days except for sunday :(
Anyway have a safe trip to and from SC , and again congratulations on the new ride.

Thanks HDguy,

Well, the only saddle time will be loading and unloading it.  I'll be getting home Friday night and then heading out real early Saturday morning to the inlaws in EXTREME northwest Arkansas, Bentonville to be exact. You know, home to Wal*Mart.

When I get home, I'll start the tour-pak removal operation, so for awhile it will be scattered around the basement as pieces are removed for sale as new take-offs, instead of used.

OK, that's the plan. I'm weak and I admit it so I may just have to ride it some too.  hopefully the weather will improve towards the end of the coming week.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season.

Cheers!

FW,

You know, its amazing how many great friends I have. I can't tell you how many offers I've had of people kindly offering their free time to come over and help in with the break-in, and then some.

I've got the trailer hooked up and ready to go for tomorrow.  I've got a friend riding along, so maybe I'll put him in the trailer with a cell phone for the ride home so he can call me and let me know if I need to pull over and tighten her up. ;D

How did the X-Mas party go on Monday?  It would have been fun if you two could have made it to Cartersville for dinner.  We had a great time.

You and the missus have a wonderful Christmas.

Cheers!

They must be, because Pinkie says if I get a Corbin to replace the stock seat, it WILL be heated, regardless of the upcharge and funky stitching.

Who would have thought a warm tushy was so important?

Have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

Cheers!

I didn't know you had a side car for your scooter? Certainly you not headed to the sunshine state and leaving it at home? [smiley=nixweiss.gif] [smiley=nervous.gif]

Couldn't resist giving you the business a little. [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Jupiter, that's my old stompin' grounds before moving up here to GA. Man I miss the fishing. Maybe move back some day and get my sea legs back.

Have a great trip.

I've got to take the BIG truck to haul all the kids Christmas presents.

I bummed out. That brings up a good point: in my owner's manual it says NOT to attach a side car to the FLHTCUSE2. What gives? Is the bike too fast to handle a side car?

It also says not to attach trailers too (but members here have done so). Since your bike has the regular suspension I don't know why you couldn't. [smiley=nixweiss.gif] This may be a disclaimer the MoCo puts in all manuals, however they sell side cars. [smiley=confused5.gif]
