Customer ( he is a member here just does not post ) had a shop in KS install the 10.5 pistons and a S&S 585 cam. Bike has a heavy breather and a DD fat cat. Bike ran well just not making the power in the low rpm range as he was looking for. He watched me make these base line pulls with the engine fully up to temp.. He had no complaints other than lack of power in the lower rpm range.
We did nothing more than swap the cam and installed a SE 58 FBW. The gains on the FBW alone, and not huge . I have done back to back testing,..they are not + 10/10 that some state / think you will get . However if your going to add one , it was the right time.
We added a Barnett heavy clutch spring as well. Heads are 100 % stock in fact you can still see flow characteristics from the old tune to the new in the graph.
Over all the goal was achieved . Customer has the power where he rides now.
