High Road to Taos for Fall Colors and Late Lunch
« on: October 12, 2014, 08:36:51 PM »

I rode from Albuquerque up to Taos this past Saturday to see how the colors of fall are doing. I got a late lunch while I was in Taos at the Station Cafe. Colors were great and near peaking. The food was made to order and excellent. Will stop by there again on my next road trip.

Simon, you are blessed with being in a beautiful part of our great country.  Plus, you get to see it on the new scooter.  Thanks for the pics....God sure knows how to build beautiful scenery and paint it with all kinds of colors for us to enjoy.

You are surely right Howard. Please come visit sometime soon. I hear that the next West Coast GTG is going to be really close to New Mexico and I would love to host you and yours early next year. Try and plan on it.

Thanks for the invite, Simon.  Lets see what next year looks like.  This one has been one for the ages so hopefully next year will be a bit calmer.  Not a bad year, just really "full".  Some good, some not so....

Have the West coast members decided on a location?  Haven't seen a post on the 2015 GTG as of yet......

I love the Albuquerque/Sante Fe/Los Alamos area of NM.  Spent a week there in the mid 90's on business (mostly in Los Alamos with a couple days in Sante Fe) and have been through the area on a bike trip to Phoenix.  Love the high country...beautiful, fresh and clean.  I'm envious of Don (twolane) planning to move out that way.  Would be a great place to retire.....

Simon, the wife and I want to move out of the Midwest in 3 years. We have been eyeballing the SE (Western NC, SC, Eastern TN, and NE Georgia). After seeing these pictures, clearly we need to take a hard look at NM. Thank you for sharing.
